The Hows of Housing: How do I avoid being short-changed when buying a property?

Investing can be a daunting task, especially for those who are new to it. šŸ˜“šŸ’¢

With so much information readily available online, it can be overwhelming to know where to start and what to believe. šŸ‘©ā€šŸ’» This was my case at the very beginning. šŸ‘‰šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø

If youā€™re just like me, you probably want to start your investing journey but arenā€™t sure where to begin. This #PodcastOfTheWeek is a great resource to get started. šŸŽ§

I heard important quotes like ā€œNever invest in something you donā€™t knowā€ and ā€œWhen investing in something that doesnā€™t have a guaranteed return, that is Speculation,ā€ but unfortunately, I learned these lessons the hard way. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ’ø

As I aimed to grow my investment portfolio, I considered investing in rental properties for cash flow. However, before diving in, I wanted to know more about the real estate market in the Philippines.

I looked for real estate podcasts, but to my dismay, most of them were from real estate agents or brokerage companies that focused on getting people to buy a property from them rather than providing useful information for those who wanted to invest. šŸ”šŸ’°

Thankfully, I came across ā€œThe Hows of Housing,ā€ which was the best local housing podcast I could find so far. šŸ’Æ Although it focused on educating people who wanted to buy a house to live in rather than to rent out, it still provided valuable insights on what to know before buying a property and the laws surrounding the documents involved. šŸ“ƒ
